We do NOT charge more if a window is very large or very hard to reach. We have a fixed rate we charge per window. This fixed rate includes the frames and the sills of the window as well as the glass.

I would first introduce myself via text/call or through the thumbtack app and inquire on exactly what service they are potentially looking to get done. From there I will usually request to do a free in person estimate where I go around the property and get an idea of what we will be working with (I can also give a free estimate virtually if you let me know how many windows you have and send a couple photos of the property). From there I would let the customer know how much I would do the service for. If the price makes sense to the customer we can then schedule a date and time to complete the job and let them know approximately how long the job would take. I will always send a reminder text the day of the job as well.

To me, repetition is training. We have cleaned thousands of windows at this point and have encountered homes with extremely complex layouts (some homes with 100+ windows).

I have always helped my grandma with tasks and one of those including cleaning her windows. She told her neighbors that I can do their windows as well and before I knew it I owned a cleaning business. I invested almost everything I had into equipment to make sure I could clean any house at a professional level regardless of size or other factors.

I have worked with all types of customers including but not limited to: senior citizens, retired couples, homeowners looking to sell their home/host an event, customers who routinely get their windows cleaned, customers who have never gotten their windows cleaned, customers with kids/pets, contractors that need windows cleaned post construction, customers that need their business storefront cleaned for their grand opening.

We recently restored a beautiful home with over 75 unique windows that had a variety of buildup including dirt, dust, paint, tape, stickers, and more. We used a plethora of methods to make every square inch of every pane spotless and streak free. We also used our water fed pole system which enabled us to reach the outside of the windows on the highest level without a ladder, making the entire job a lot safer. The customer also requested we remove all the screens and put them in their garage which was not a problem and we did not charge extra for that service. The entire job took ≈ 5 hours excluding cleanup of equipment.

I would advice them to figure out exactly what they want cleaned (example for windows: glass, tracks, screens, frames, sills, exterior only, etc.), how many windows there are, and when they want the service done.

They should just have the information listed in the other questions above (window count, what they want cleaned, etc.) in mind and just know that the service provider is there to make you happy and work with your unique situation.
